hi all this is my report and a breif discrip of what happened to my puter:

first it started to freeze all the time , now it takes 10 mins to boot up and if i have to re-start puter it wont work at all until i switch off for hours i have done nothing to puter ie new hardware nothing,am really confused thanks

HIDDEN FILES: To make sure you can see all hidden files, please follow the directions here

SAFEMODE: Boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key at restart and choosing 'safe mode' menu option (explained here if needed).



Delete TEMPORARY FILES: Now, hunt down the most common temporary file locations and the temporary file clutter contained therein (and of possible malware hiding places):

Go to Start > Run and type: CLEANMGR.EXE and hit enter.
When prompted select the C: drive and click ok.
Check the boxes for:

• Temporary Internet Files
• Downloaded Program Files
• Recycle Bin
• Temporary Files

Click OK or Enter


***** Clean out the Recycle Bin for items removed below, ONLY once you have regained the full functional use of your PC.




Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):


DELETE FILES:

POST A REVISED HIJACKTHIS LOG for review:
Reboot and post a new HijackThis log with any feedback as appropriate - how things are now behaving: any new or remaining apparent issues.

I am not sure what issues you want me to clarify?


Were you unable to get into SAFE MODE? - When you REBOOT, at the beep, start gently tapping the F8 key until you get a menu of options including SAFE MODE.


SAFE MODE loads the barest minimum in running programs thus giving you a better chance (with less interference issues) of correcting or resolving matters that might not be possible, otherwise.


When you get into SAFE MODE, click on an empty spot on your desktop and press the F3 KEY. That is an alternate method and more direct means of bringing up a 'search dialog' BOX. Copy and Paste the following EXACT TEXT into the search box to find the file in question to be deleted:

C:\WINDOWS\mcs32.exe


Be sure to follow all remaining procedures, as given.

the trouble with me rebooting is that it wont reboot until the next morning ??????????????????????????????????????
