I have spybot and ewido and they keep finding viruses and deleting them
These tools do not find viruses - they detect malware/spyware. Listing some of the recurring file or malware names could help narrow down the nature of the infection(s).

    Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
DO NOT RUN ANY OTHER OPTIONS UNTIL REQUESTED TO.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

You need to be be running a real-time (always on) antivirus tool to help protect your PC. Run such an antivirus software regularly, and to keep its definitions up-to-date. If you are thinking about switching (using a real-time AV tool only one at a time), there are some good free Antivirus programs that are decent, including AVG and Avast!.
    AVG: http://free.grisoft.com/doc/1
    Avast: http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html

Download and run one of those tools after the fix below but before posting a revised HijackThis LOG.

Your have the following Trojan infection which could be be responsible for all kinds of malware including popups.
    Name: [.nvsvc]
    Status: X
    File: smss.exe

Added by the BackDoor-CXT http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_138575.htm TROJAN! [red]Note[/red]: located in C: Windows System (Win9x/Me) C: %WINDIR% System (XP/WinNT/2K) and not in it's System32 subdirectory as is the case with the legitimate Smss.exe system file.
    http://www.castlecops.com/startuplist-12790.html

SELECT HijackThis FIX ITEMS: Scan with HijackThis and place a check next to these items:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [.NVSVC] C:\WINDOWS\system\smss.exe /w

Make sure that all browser windows and internet links are closed, even this one!
    CLICK ’FIX CHECKED’ with HijackThis.

HIDDEN FILES: To make sure you can see all hidden files, please follow the directions here

SAFEMODE: Boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key at restart and choosing 'safe mode' menu option (explained here if needed).

Delete TEMPORARY FILES: Now, hunt down the most common temporary file locations and the temporary file clutter contained therein (and of possible malware hiding places):

Go to Start > Run and type: CLEANMGR.EXE and hit enter.
When prompted select the C: drive and click ok.
    Check the boxes for:
    • Temporary Internet Files
    • Downloaded Program Files
    • Recycle Bin
    • Temporary Files
    Click OK or Enter

***** Clean out the Recycle Bin for items removed below, ONLY once you have regained the full functional use of your PC.

Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):

    DELETE FILES:

    C:\WINDOWS\system\smss.exe

POST A REVISED HIJACKTHIS LOG for review:
Reboot and post a new HijackThis log with any feedback as appropriate - how things are now behaving: any new or remaining apparent issues.

Hi. followed insrtructions, but had difficulty in running in safe mode.
When booted, just had black screen with safe mode in corners. Could not access any programmes or files. Followed instructions without safe mode.

Forgot to mention also, that when i start up on desktop keep getting pop up saying: 'the web page ypu requested is not available offline. To view this page, click connect'.

The inability to get into SAFE MODE is always not a good sign.

Do you know what the following applications are for and whether they are legitimate?:
    C:\Program Files\MagicDisc\MagicDisc.exe
    C:\Program Files\Mediafour\MacDrive5\MDGSTART.EXE

None of your current security procedures protect your PC against viruses. Please download and run a FULL SCAN using one of the suggested free (dedicated) antivirus tools mentioned in my last post.

Your system has an outdated version of Sun Java that could create serious security exposure issues for your PC.

    Update your Java.

Older JAVA versions have vulnerabilities that malware can and are using to infect systems.

Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components.
    • Close any programs you may have running, ESPECIALLY your web browser
    • Click Start > Control Panel.
    • Click Add/Remove Programs.
    • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in the name.
    • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
    • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove all versions of Java.
    • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.

Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 8 or higher, and install it to your computer.

New Version should show as (HijackThis log):

    C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_08\… or higher

Post a revised HijackThis log and any current observations.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
You removed your old version of JAVA but did not reinstall the latest version which you may have need for in the future.

You have now picked up a Look2Me infection:

    1. Download combofix.exe
    2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply (logfile is located at C:\ComboFix.txt).

    Note:
Do not mouse click combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

    Please provide:

    - a fresh HijackThis log
    - combofix log
