    removal of NSIS Ads

Please could somebody help me remove these NSIS Ads pop-ups. I have read that a free download called Arcade which has been put on my computer is carrying this problem. I have removed this free download but cannot get rid of the pop-ups. It is also causing my internet to freeze & my computer to spontaneously shut down & reboot. I'm a relative novice on computers so in laymans terms please.

Please do the READ FIRST Procedures found here. Because of your limited connectivity please ensure that you can at least post a HijackThis LOG after running CCleaner, below:

    http://www.d-a-l.com/help/showthread.php?t=32403

    Clean out TEMPORARY FILES procedures:
To clean your temp folder, recycle bin, etc..please download this free tool:

    CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/downloadbuilds.asp

    Install Options:
    • Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!
    • Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.

It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.

Do not run CCleaner until requested later.

Run CCleaner in SAFE MODE (reboot tapping the F8 key after the beep).
Select the ‘Cleaner’ BUTTON option (top LEFT), if not already selected. Use the ’Windows’ TAB up front by default.
    • Uncheck ‘Cookies’ option (advisable)
    • Optionally, Uncheck ‘Recently Typed URLs’ option (potentially still useful)
    • Click the ‘Analyse’ button.
    • Thereafter, click ‘Run Cleaner’ after you have reviewed what it proposes to clean.

Try running SpyBot (see Read FIRST Procedures) - it has detection for NSIS elements.

If that doesn't work, you may want to try 'Super Ad Blocker' trial:

    Hi VopThis

I ran Spybot S & D & it found NSIS Media Extensions. I imminized & re scanned & it said that it was clear. I then ran super ad blocker & that cleared a few tracking cookies. My hopes were now up....but as soon as I rebooted & logged on the net, it returned.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
The following very extensive ongoing, even recent issue, link is very revealing on the nature of the complex NSIS infection (worm/trojan?) and provides helpful insights to help neutralize some, if not all, of its implications. SpyBot may be one of the vendors closest to an effective solution:
