Computer sometimes doesn't shutdown/restart/logout
sometimes my computer won't logout, shutdown, or restart. it happens once in a while, but this week it probably happened 2 or 3 times and it is getting annoying. in order to turn it off I must press the power button for a couple of seconds. I don't want to corrupt my files or my computer since my other computer died because I did. so here is a Hijackthis log.
Logfile of HijackThis v1.99.1

um... problem. I have used Counterspy in the past and my trial has already expired. I ran it anyways just to see whats there. Counterspy has found:
FunWebProducts
MyWebSearch Toolbar
My Way Speedbar
i could probably manually remove them. there are some files in the windows32 folder and registry, but there are so many in the registry it would take forever to remove. so yeah. my trial already expired some time ago so i can't remove it and I don't want to purchase a license.
Here's a log of the counterspy scan:

Thats a shame, have you tried a fresh re-install of counterspy?
Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

Let' do one more scan then you should go over to the XPHelp section on this site. if nothing shows up
Try running this:
Download http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/winpfind.php
Extract WinPFind.zip to your c:\ folder.
Please print these instructions as you will be going into safe mode.
Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by following the following steps:
Reboot.
When the machine first starts again it will generally list some equipment that is installed in your machine, amount of memory, hard drives installed etc. At this point you should gently tap the F8 key repeatedly until you are presented with a Windows XP Advanced Options menu.
Select the option for Safe Mode using the arrow keys.
Then press enter on your keyboard to boot into Safe Mode
Then open c:\WinPFind and double-click on WinPFind.exe. When the program is open, click on the Start Scan button to scart scanning your computer. Be patient as this scan may take a while. When it is done, it will show a log and tell you the scan is completed. Reboot your computer back to normal mode and and post the contents of c:\WinPFind\WinPFind.txt

i'm terribly sorry for the late reply. anyways, i downloaded the tool and here are the results. Aside from that, i also noticed that this happens when two windows XP users are logged on. Somtimes my mom will log on and she'll use it for a while, then when she's done I log on, then this happens. Or vice-versa, with me using the computer, with her logging on after I'm done. When I log myself off or log her off, the problem doesn't occur that much, if it does at all.
So here's my log from WinPFind
WARNING: not all files found by this scanner are bad. Consult with a knowledgable person before proceeding.
If you see a message in the titlebar saying "Not responding..." you can ignore it. Windows sometimes displays this message due to the high volume of disk I/O. As long as the hard disk light is flashing, the program is still working properly.
