    More info:

If Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer, booting into Safe Mode with these instructions.

    * If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power
    * Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
    * Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
    * Ensure that the Safe mode option is selected.
    * Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
    * When you are finished with all troubleshooting, close all programs and restart the computer as you normally would.

To use the System Configuration Utility method

    * Close all open programs.
    * Click Start, Run and type MSCONFIG in the box and click OK
    * The System Configuration Utility appears, On the BOOT.INI tab, Check the "/SAFEBOOT" option, and then click OK and Restart your computer when prompted.
    * The computer restarts in Safe mode.
    * Perform the troubleshooting steps for which you are using Safe Mode.
When you are finished with troubleshooting in Safe mode, open MSCONFIG again, on the BOOT.INI tab, uncheck "/SAFEBOOT" and click OK to restart your computer

A new critter has showed up on your computer called IST Service/IST Bar.

Look in add remove program and remove it/uninstall it then reboot if found.

Go here to learn how to show hidden files/folders:

    http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html#5

    Re-hide after we are done

A couple new files have showed up as well.

    Go to next site:
    http://www.virustotal.com/en/indexf.html
    On top you'll find 'Browse'
Click the browse button and browse to next file:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Curkol.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\Yisciv.exe

    Click open.
Then click the 'Send' button next to it.
This will scan the file. Please be patient.
Once scanned, copy and paste the results as well in your next reply.

Do the above instructions separately for each file please and post the results back here. Thanks.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
I scanned the two you asked me, and it said no viruses were found. I have a bunch of yisciv files

    yiscivdk.xml

    yiscivk1.xml
    yiscivk2.xml
    yiscivk.xml
    yiscivu.xml
    yiscivu1.xml
    yiscivu2.xml
    yiscivu3.xml

are any of those suspicious ones? i scanned yicsciv2 & yiscivk and neither scanned any viruses.
