Trendmicro said it found and cleaned 9 files. My computer still has one pop-up that won't go away. It is for scanner.spyprotect.com. It pops up anytime i go to access "my computer" or the c drive. Also, those to files you asked me to scan are still on my computer, (C:\Documents and Settings\Jacob\Local Settings\Temp\clclean.0001.dir.0000) and (C:\Program Files\Common Files\{30963672-0680-1033-0511-060329060001}). Nothing seems to clean those off, and when i try to manually delete them i get a message saying they are in use and cannot be removed.

Press ctrl+alt+del to bring up task manager or right click bottom bar on your screen and select task manager

Look in the process tab to find those and end process on them, don't delete yet just see if nothing gets squirelly on you. If all is well you should be able to delete them

I got the processes on the program files-common files program stopped and deleted and haven't seen a pop-up yet since. My computer seems to be running just fine, a little on the crawly side every now and then, but as for everything else it is doing just fine.

If there is anything else you need me to do just to make sure it is up to snuff let me know. But if it is all finished as much as can be, thanks for all your help.

Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.
It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.

Before first use:
Select Options then Advanced.
UNCHECK "Only delete files in Windows Temp folder older than 48 hours"

Click on CCleaner to start it. Then click "Run Cleaner", just use the windows tab up front by default.


Then Reboot (Exit)
