    Something is wrong here.

My main problem is that the other day I was changing my theme around and now when I get on any website the websites fonts, backgrounds, or pictures don't show up, its just whatever color happens to be in my theme. So I posted my little problem under "Windows XP Help" and a mod there told me to try system restore. I tried 5 or 6 different points of restoration and they were all unable to complete. The mod on the other board told me to try posting here so please help me. I think there may be something more wrong with my computer. I ran hijackthis and here is my logfile:

Long, I know, I also ran Norton, Ad-Aware SE, Ewido Anti-Maleware, CCleaner, and Spybot Search and Destroy and the problems are still there.

You only need one anti-virus program or problems will occur and may already have, so suggest you uninstall one of them. Trendmicro or Symantec.

reboot into safe mode by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.

Run Ewido again but from safe mode this time and post the log for me to see.

    Also...

Go here BitDefender and run an online scan with BitDefender (you will need to use Internet Explorer for this scan). When the ActiveX Control has loaded, click on "Click here to scan" and grab a coffee.

When BitDefender completes the scan, select the "Detected Problems" tab. Click on "Click here to export scan". Save the file as an HTML to your Desktop. Then click on the saved file and allow it to open with your browser. Go to Edit - Select All then copy/paste that log back here. Post back and let us know what it found (post the log).

And post a new HJT log also..

The bit defender I downloaded, however I can't seem to get the latest version of internet explorer downloaded I'm not sure why, I tried turning off my firewall and Norton but it didn't help at all.

This may not be a malware problem, nothing showing in Ewido except cookies, log looks ok except Limewire which I would definately get rid of.

If you want to get rid of the myway crap Dell put on your computer we can do that also.

    Open Hijackthis.

Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.

Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.

    Click the "Save list..." Button.

Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.

    http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

    Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

    * The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
    * Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
    * Now click on Scan Settings
    * In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
o Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    - Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    o Scan Options:
    - Scan Archives
    - Scan Mail Bases

    * Click OK
*Now under select a target to scan:
    o Select My Computer
    * This program will start and scan your system.
    * The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
    * Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
o Now click on the Save as Text button:
    * Save the file to your desktop.
    * Copy and paste that information in your next post.

I think I found the problem, A while back not long before the problems started I was downloading a few songs from Lacuna Coil, Apparently a few didn't download and while I was making a backup for my music I found that one of them was a corrupt file, I didn't think 10 songs would be a huge deal, I hardly ever dl anything from limewire. I deleted it and restarted the computer again but the problem isn't fixed, I think I may have gotten a trojan or worm from it. It hasn't messed with my system files yet, but it might. I figure if things start to really mess up soon I have the Windows XP disc, along with a backup to all the files I don't want to lose and I can just reboot the computer entirely and start over.

I'll do what you asked first and reply back as soon as its done, i just thought you might want to know what I found.

Once again my computer proves to be difficult, when I click on "Online Scanner" and the other window comes up asking if I accept or decline, it wont let me accept, I can hit it 10 times and it wont do anything.

That list is ok, nothing showing except limewire.

    Are you going to reformat?

If you can't do online scans that is not good.

I'm getting ready to get to work on the reformatting thing, then comes the 4 hour process of putting my music back to here from the desktop computer, I'm positive all the music from there is virus-free because all of it came off my CD's and the few I dl'd from limewire will be gone with everything else ina few minutes. Thank you for the help though, when I'm rich I'll be sure to come back and donate a lot of money someday, unfortunatly, still have college to go through before I'm rich.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
Everything is up and running again, no more issues with anything, and with my memory upgrade, it's better then ever, though I still wonder exactly what caused it, doesn't matter now I guess.
