My PC has been working fine until about 4 hours ago when another member of my family was on it and it began to go 'wierd' when they tried to open internet explorer or any folder on the pc. I looked at it and I have worked out that every time you click to open 'My Computer' (just as an example the same thing happens with all folders and which Internet Explorer) it restarts explorer.exe

This seems to be all its doing although after explorer has restarted the folder/IE doesnt open so without going to rather extreme measures there is no easy way to access any files on my pc. I am currently scanning my computer with virus checkers and one of the three checkers finished and the problem is persisting, any suggestions?

Can you please perform a system restore for me to a date before any known problems or before you started performing any recent fixes?

Click on Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore.

Check Restore my computer to an earlier date> Click Next.

Choose the date before you performed my fix and click Next and Next again.

Once rebooted, please try your Internet connection and post a revised HJT log. Do not uninstall anything.
