Open Hijackthis.

Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.

Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.

Click the "Save list..." Button.

Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.


Run hijackthis and click on scan button and put checks next to these:

Make sure nothng is open but hijackthis and click on fix checked.


Now reboot into safe mode by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.


Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):


DELETE FILES:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\056c4617.exe
winvc32.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\default\Local Settings\Application Data\056c4617.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\notepad.dll


Reboot normal mode and...



To clean your temp folder, recycle bin, etc..please download this free tool:

CCleaner

Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.
It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.
Click on CCleaner to start it. Then click "Run Cleaner", just use the windows tab up front by default.

Then Reboot (Exit)


How is your computer running now after the above?

Hi Neal,my computer will not let me run in safe mode it always gves me a black screen saying in safe mode when i am trying to search for the file/folders and will not let me back on to safe mode to complete the search, also hjt will not let me save the uninstall list to desk top it closes out when you hit the save list button, please help me thank you magoose

Give me a a hijackthis log please, also we can get rid of those files a different way if needed.
