CCleaner should only be run on a periodic basis (say weekly or longer) and not with the type of frequency as indicated (not really accomplishing much cleanup of consequence with a small passage of time). Also, we do not encourage the use of the registry cleaning portion of the tool because there could be potential problems in some circumstances of inappropriate use.

Bmnet.dll is not directly related to the registry as a fixable issue and is part of a chain of running system processes. If something in that chain gets broken, then, there will be continuing problems until fully repaired. Were you using SpySweeper version 5.0? That may have created an unforeseeable break in the processes chain that may not now be easily fixed. Do not proceed when the circumstances seem to be odd as you had suspected.

Might be worth trying the LSPFIX and WINXPFIX in SAFE MODE (boot using the F8 key).


As stated, there only appears to be one available Google search case where Bmnet.dll is found combined with your network card - that leaves no comparitive situations to go on in seeking a satisfactory resolution.
