Hi,

I have had a slow running PC for a few weeks, i think i managed to allow some spyware / virus onto my pc (my own fault). I have run Trend Housecall, Panda Active Scan, Adaware, SpyBot, Microsoft Defender & e-trust AV scanner. a few things were detected and fixed including newdotnet. my main problem is my cpu maxing out at 100%, the svchost.exe appears to the cause of this, i have done some research on this but cannot find a definitive solution.

i have now run a hijack this log ( i hope this an up to date version), i cannot see any problems on it but would appreciate a second opinion to assist me in my quest. please let me know if you need any further information. thanks.

Once installed, double-click the XPL icon in the tool tray. It might potentially be able to neutralize the running exploit or help identify the extent and nature of all Internet traffic that is occuring on your PC.

Thanks VopThis, have installed this and certainly seems to have stablised my system, although it hasn't said it has blocked anything, i'll keep my on it though.

further to this i have narrowed it down the ntdll.dll running in the svchost.exe, it only seems to be spiking at 100%when i have just connected to the internet for about a minute or 2.
