I do not know how else to describe my OE problem sending msgs that result in image edits being added to the Subj line. Apparently, if a msg contains an image(s) it tells me in my Outbound dialog box that it is sending 1 of 3 ,or 2 of 3, or whatever number of images in the original msg. They then are interpreted as virus by some mail programs or appear as binary body garble,

The OE problem could be something else besides malware, let's try this


Try uninstalling coffeecup from safe mode, if that doesn't work try the below.


To UNINSTALL CoffeeCup Software


Go Start>>Run>>copy/paste the following into the box:

"C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\SpamBlocker.exe" /u

Note: (Quotation marks are required)

Press OK

REBOOT your system

Please post a fresh HJT log[/list]

Could not be removed in Safe Mode, same response about the InstallShield. Also, would not work with the link as you specified above, entered exactly as specified. "Windows cannot find...make sure name is typed correctly..."

Try this:



Open HijackThis

* Click on the configure button on the bottom right
* Click on the tab "Misc Tools"
* Click on the Box that says "Uninstall Manager"
* Click on

coffeecup software or what ever it is called

* Click on Delete this entry
* Click "Yes"

Close HijackThis.

Reboot and post back with a fresh HijackThis log.

CoffeeCup Spam Blocker has a so-called Uninstaller. This is the target in the Properties:
"C:\Program Files\InstallShield Installation Information\{CC938BCB-4FE5-4D33-9200-72E3A7D7E4D2}\setup.exe"

Yet, when you click on the file, nothing happens.

Now reboot into safe mode by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.


Run hijackthis and click on scan button and put checks next to these:

Notjhing open but hijackthis and click on fix checked.


Still in safe mode


Hunt for and delete this folder:


C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software


Reboot normal mode and let me know.
