Dear moderator,

I've downloaded and installed the SpyBot but everytime I hit the update button, there's an error window pops up:

Error retrieving update info file!
Socket error # 11004

Without this update process, I can't proceed further with other stuffs.

There are over 8 listed download locations in the 'Update' screen (between 'Search for Updates' BUTTON and 'Download Updates' BUTTON). Try a different download location.


I have often needed to use a European download location even though I live in Canada.

I've solved the problem by downloading the update directly from the site and then open the SpyBot program and update it with the update file previously downloaded.
