    z-demon fix please

    Hello
After my husband had a few hang ups on start up, we ran Registry Mechanics, and fixed a whole bunch of problems, then ran Adaware then Spybot, both came up with problems which were supposedly fixed.
When I did a rerun with Spybot it came up with "z-demon (ungultiger datentyp fur") and in red " DSO Exploit - 3 entries."
One of the entries implies that he has fallen into a Microsoft security hole but how can he get out of it?
A search on your forums has not given me any help, so any ideas would be welcome.
He is running with Windows XP family edition, and does not seem to have the hang up problems in safe mode.
Would be grateful for any advice. As my name implies I am not very bright so easy does it on the jargon please
    Thank you

z-demon "DSO Exploit" is often determined to be a 'false positive' determination (a coding application problem in SpyBot).

Are you running the latest update of SpyBot 1.4?

DSO Exploit issues have often been falsely (and wrongly) reported. Always keep that tool up-to-date (weekly updates) in case the fixing methodology is currently ineffective (if in fact it is needed) or the tool detection for such a 'potential' issue is incorrect.
