1.) Download WinSockFix. (by: Option^Explicit)
2.) UnZip WinsockFix.zip (Pay close attention to where the file is extracted to.)
3.) Run WinsockFix.exe.
4.) Click the Fix button.


Reboot


Download the Intermute stand-alone version of CWShredder from here: cwshredder.net/bin/CWShredder.exe
Install it and check for updates then exit, we will use it later.


Upload and scan this file:

Now reboot into safe mode by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.


Run hijackthis and click on scan button and put checks next to these:

Make sure nothing is open but hijackthis and click on fix checked.

I have unhidden all the fules and still I can't find it. I agree it is there, but I am at a loss as to where. I come up with comadmin.dll and comaddin.dll

There is no info available for that file we better leave it alone unless you come up with something from jotti


There are other popup blockers that will not hijack your internet accesss.


Useing firefox will have popup blocker also.

Don't install any Toolbars, or other programs, should it ask you!Just uncheck the option of installing the Yahoo toolbar.
It will put a shortcut on your Desktop.
Click on CCleaner to start it. Then click "Run Cleaner", just use the windows tab up front by default.

Then Reboot (Exit)

How is it running now?

The reply I got from the scan for comacao.dll said that the file was 0 bytes.

I ran CCleaner and everything seems to be working well. Quite a few files were cleaned off with the first step - Adaware and Spybot. Thanks very much for the help.
