    Help with Internet Explorer

    I am having problems going to certian web sites with Intenet Explorer. (www.google.com is one). Some web sites I can access without a problem, others just cause IE to sit there and nothing comes up on the screen.

    Your problem appears to be related to the following:

    CAUSE
    The MS06-015 security update package installs a new binary, VERCLSID.EXE, which validates shell extensions before they are instantiated by the Windows Shell or Windows Explorer. On some computers, VERCLSID.EXE stops responding. The following have been identified to cause VERCLSID.EXE to stop responding:


    The suggested solution involves editing the registry with extreme care. Make sure you do a backup of the registry and/or create a 'system restore' point. Or have a repair shop do the procedure. See here for instructions:
