hey im new here i dont know jack about PC's all i know is that i did a free online scan n ive got 634 'infections' on my computer. i downloaded this prog. called spyware doc. i havnt registered because it asks me to pay 30 quid- is this worthwile?
ive got a red cross in the corner of my screen it says my comp is infected. my net runs on a witeless rotter and its really slow, the conection keeps going.

what can i do to remove all that crap off my comp? there are SO MANY searches on the net but i want them removed- i dont have a clue where to look. do they all cost? arent there any free ones?

634 infections are a lot obviously. There is potentially a lot seriously wrong on your PC. Manual cleaning will likely take longer but is often doable.


You can post the log from the 'Spyware Doctor' scan if you want as follows or consider re-running it for posting after doing the suggested procedures below:

Press 'Settings' BUTTON.

Go to Start > Run and type: CLEANMGR.EXE and hit enter.
When prompted select the C: drive and click ok.
Check the boxes for:

• Temporary Internet Files
• Downloaded Program Files
• Recycle Bin
• Temporary Files

Click OK or Enter
