My PC has fallen pray to some sort of virus. I regularly run antivirus software via Norton system works 2003 or CS associates via BT Yahoo. Recently a virus was identified and deleted however it re-appears every time I close and restart my PC. My OS is windows XP and I believe the virus came by virtue of allowing some else to use my PC.

    Hi,

All you have to do at that link is click on spybot to download to your desktop and then double click the install icon to install the program. check for updates and run the program and allow it to remove anything that is found.

Do the same for Adaware SE.

When done with that click on the link that says Hijackthis, and it will install to the proper place like the instructions say. C:\Program Files.

Once it is installed double click hijackthis.exe and then click on "do a system scan and save a log file". Then notepad will open up and your hijackthis log will be there.

Maximize notepad by clicking the square in the top right, then right click hijackthis log, select copy, then come here and click on "post a new reply. When that opens up put your cursor on the blank page and right click and select paste. And there you have it, submit reply.

    Thanks.
