    Help!

I have been getting crazy pop-ups, and something hasbeen turning my windows anti-virus off. Also have popsubtract on computer now..... not installed. Don't know why. Pop ups are bad, perverted .... anyways. I have 2 pop up blockers and they still occasionally happen. Ran Blackmal removal tool and it said no infection. Ran W32beagle removal tool and the log said Warning not checked path too long or something to that fact. Help would be appreciated.

Read over the following directions. Ask if anything appears unclear to you.

Download Clean.bat to your desktop: for later use to clean out your TEMPORARY and PREFETCH files.
    http://www.thatcomputerguy.us/downloads/clean.bat

We will be restarting into Safe Mode later on in the fix and you might not be able to access the Internet. Accordingly, it is probably a good idea to print out the following directions or copy them to a text file on your desktop using NOTEPAD. Read these instructions carefully and feel free to ask if you're unsure about anything.

SELECT HijackThis FIX ITEMS: Scan with HijackThis and place a check next to these items:

    O2 - BHO: WTLHelper Object - {75DC57F8-D831-4AB8-86B7-4F826F4A0873} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtutu.dll

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WINDOWS] system.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [WINDOWS] system.exe

    O20 - Winlogon Notify: vtutu - C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtutu.dll

Make sure that all browser windows and internet links are closed, even this one!
    CLICK ’FIX CHECKED’ with HijackThis.

    NOTES:

    1) The first and last items above are related to the very new version of the Vundo infection. Not much on those, yet. Let see if they go away peacefully.

    2) The middle two (2) items are related to a WORM:
    http://securityresponse.symantec.com...pybot.obb.html
If you have been conducting sensitive transactions, you may want to consider the implications that its keylogging capabilites and password retrieval may have on you. Password changes are definitely on your short list of actions once your PC is clean.

HIDDEN FILES: To make sure you can see all hidden files, please follow the directions here

SAFEMODE: Boot into safe mode by tapping the F8 key at restart and choosing 'safe mode' menu option (explained here if needed).

Delete TEMPORARY FILES: Now, hunt down the most common temporary file locations and the temporary file clutter contained therein (and of possible malware hiding places):

Go to Start > Run and type: CLEANMGR.EXE and hit enter.
When prompted select the C: drive and click ok.
    Check the boxes for:
    • Temporary Internet Files
    • Downloaded Program Files
    • Recycle Bin
    • Temporary Files
    Click OK or Enter

For additional, more thorough cleaning and for multi-profile user configurations:
(*) Run Clean.bat to clean up your TEMPorary files.

***** Clean out the Recycle Bin for items removed below, ONLY once you have regained the full functional use of your PC.

Navigate to these files or folders using Windows Explorer (OR Start -> Search) and delete (if present):

    DELETE FILES:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtutu.dll
    C:\Windows\System32\system.exe

POST A REVISED HIJACKTHIS LOG for review:
Reboot and post a new HijackThis log with any feedback as appropriate - how things are now behaving: any new or remaining apparent issues.

Do I need to be in safe mode to delete the C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtutu.dll? It would not let me remove it because it was being used by someone/something else.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
Do I need to be in safe mode to delete the C:\WINDOWS\system32\vtutu.dll?
Could try that. This is such a new version of the Vundo infection that there is little removal success history (Google) to be found on this one, yet. Removal tools may need to be adjusted for that new variation.

Try removing both the HJT lines as well as the file in SAFE MODE. Do not be surprised if it still survives.

Post your latest HJT log and we shall continue to watch for any new fix developments as they become available (if they are still needed).
