Hi, I opened a thread yesterday in the Windows XP help forum for a very persistent problem/virus I have on my laptop which forces me to stay connected to a LAN, otherwise I cannot log on (see also the Karparsky log added to the original thread. I could delete all dll's mentioned as infected by Kaparsky, except the browsela.dll one (see also the Hijackthis log, and am a little bid afraid of doing this via another Windows system.
As a result to a request from DJNavey on my original request I ran Hijackthis and I'llattach the output.
As an extra tip, my antivirus system, NOD32 keeps on blocking (every 10 minutes or so) the following:
http://ownusa.info/st4/alt. exe, with the suggestion that this might be an unknown Newheur_PE virus. Hope you can help!
