Hi DAL team! I need some help with my comp.

I've just reformated my pc about 4 days ago and now I have this IE ads windows pop-uping w/o having IE opened. I don't know how it infected my pc, but here is my HJT log.

I already ran Spybot - Search&Destroy and Ad-Aware, but no solution I found.

don't run the tool just yet please.
Install it. The windows tab should be opened in the upper left of the program. Click analyze and then click run cleaner. Just use the windows tab that is up front by default.

1.Uncheck "Cookies" under "Internet Explorer".

2.If you are running Firefox: ,then click on the "Applications" tab and uncheck "Cookies" under "Firefox".

Now reboot into safe mode by tapping your F8 key upon restart and safe mode screen appears, select safe mode and press enter.


Now run CCleaner useing the windows tab only please.

Then:

Search for and delete ALL FOLDER occurrences of Content.ie5 to clean up all 'Temporary Internet Files' content.

Reboot normal mode with a new HJT log and feedback on popups and how your computer is behaving. Thanks

I did what you said about CCleaner and safe mode, but what I couldn't do was the part that said:

I didn't found a folder called Content.ie5 or such, I used the Search tool by right-clicking my hard disk but no result.

Up to the moment, I havent recieved any pop-up, but they appear once in a while, so maybe they are still here.

I'll post in about an hour. I will leave the pc turned on and wait for pop-ups to show up, and then I'll post my pc behabiour.

Download the killbox:

Killbox


1) Open up kill box now.

2) Select "Delete on Reboot".

3) Copy the file name below to the clipboard by highlighting it and pressing Control-C:

C:\WINDOWS\Crack.exe

4) Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose "Paste from Clipboard".

5) Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click "No" at the Pending Operations prompt.
