I'm still getting a few pop ups, but I can live with that. I was planning to re-boot the computer, but no need to now as nearly all the problems are gone.
Can I ask one thing though, I downloaded RegProtect like you said, but I don't like all those boxes that keep popping up. Is there anyway I can uninstall the programme. I've tried it through the control panel but its not there.

click start>all programs>hilite regprotect>click uninstall
What popups are you talking about? From Regprotect? What is trying to access your registry?

No idea what they were. They only came up with the hour I installed it. Haven't had any since.
regprotect is not in the "Start" area. I tried deleting it form the C Drive but it wouldn't let me. Nevermind, I'll grin and bear it. I think I've asked for your help a few too many times and you've come up trumps each time.
When I get paid next month, I'll be sure to make a donation to your site for all your help.
