I have AVG free edition. I have been trying to remove these 2 Viruses for several weeks with no sucess.
One is called Trojan horse Downloader. Onenet.E
The other is called Trojan horse Startpage.SP

They both say infected/embedded & infected/archive

Ohhh If someone could help me... Please help me!!!

have you tried turning off system restore, rebooting the PC then turning system restore back on?

Yea I turned it off. But... No I havn't turned it back on yet... This will help?

you may find the downloaders are in the virus vault clear that, run AVG to see if it's all clear if it is turn system restore back on.

OK I think that this is working... I deleted all the files from the vault. And I am running a scan now. It usualy comes up with the virus at this point.

How did the rest of my HJT file look? Clean? Any advice as to speed up performance or any other advice concerning my HJT log?

OK just got done with scan... The virus "Trojan horse Startpage.SP" is still there. The files that are affected are Mrj.exe & F ma.exe

These are both located in the C:/WINDOWS/F ma.exe path file

sorry I'm not much good with HiJack logs, but with my very limited knowledge it didn't look to bad

Let's try this.


Please download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Ewido trojan scanner: www.ewido.net/en/download/

1. When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".

2. When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.

3. From the main ewido screen, click on UPDATE in the left menu, then click the Start update button.

4. After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful"), click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take quite a while to run.


5. If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.


6. When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread, along with a new HijackThis log.


Make sure you are set to normal startup. Click Start -> Run -> Type Msconfig -> Press Enter -> make sure Startup is set to Normal.


Restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log, as well as the log from the Ewido scan.

OK 1st let me give you the Edwino Report... Then I will do the next steps and post my HJT report. Looking good though. It said they were embedded and did I wan't to remove the whole archive... I said yes. Dang, after all the sweeps I have done today. This was the most thorough it seems.
OK I have ran all the cleaners I have now.. LMAO about 10 of them. And everything looks clean now.
If this report looks good... How do I delete the backup that is mentioned after every infected file?
