Sorry for delay but have been indisposed.
Have not removed the symantec entry yet as another problem seems to have arisen since I removed the other suggested entries in the HJT scan.
Every time I go to my Yahoo address I am getting a warning messages and accessing my e-mail is very slow.When I follow up the warning message I am informed that there is a problem with Ocget.dll.To cure this appears to require modification of the registry.
I really do hope you can help me with this as I find it difficult to follow the microsoft support article entitled "Internet Explorer makes unnecessary POST request to Ocget.dll for.cab files".
I really thought we had cracked everything but this is a bit of a set back.

It looks like your latest HJT fixes related to CABS or IE items may be the symptom of the current problems observed. Ocget.dll is an ActiveX control which is heavily relate to O16 (CAB) items functionality.

I would try re-instating the following HJT items for possible temporary relief:

O15 - Trusted Zone: http://by3fd.bay3.hotmail.msn.com

Funilly enough I had already done some of this on the basis that if it went wrong I could change it back.I also used system restore to go back a few days and after a couple of re boots thengs seemed to settle down.I was subscribed to Yahoo full service and I have also discovered that they were trying to automatically renew without success at that time.Could this have been part of the problem.I have also deleted the symantec entry and two mcafee entries as I no longer have any symantec or mcafee applications on my computer.

Should I be doing anything about this?
