    Welcome to DAL,

    Not seeing much in your log.

    Why don't you do a Ewido scan and post the log it makes.

    Also:

    Internet Explorer required
    Run this online virus scanners (Panda Activescan) following these instructions below:
    http://www.pandasoftware.com/product..._principal.htm

    Also post the Panda scan log also please.

    Also if you are not running a good free anti-virus program here is a good one:

    AVG

    Welcome back,

    This may not be a virus related issue but we will soon find out. Download these tools to help see hidden files on your computer.

    Download WinPFind .zip
    - Extract it to your C:\ folder. This will create a folder called WinPFind in the C:\ folder.

    Reboot your computer into Safe Mode.

    Open the C:\WinPFind folder and double-click on WinPFind.exe.
    - Click on the Start Scan button and wait for it to finish.

    This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. When it is done, the results of the scan will be displayed and it will create a log file at C:\WinPFind\WinPFind.txt. Pleased copy that log to your next reply.

    * Download finditnt2000xp.zip
    * Unzip the contents of finditnt2000xp.zip to a convenient location.
    * Navigate to the Find It NT-2K-XP folder and double-click on find.bat.
    * A command prompt will open and it will search your computer for malicious files.
    * Once it has finished a Notepad window will pop up with output.txt.
    * Copy the entire contents of output.txt into your next post.
    * DON'T delete/modify any files yet

    Post both those logs and a new HJT log please.

    Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
    Hi and thanks for the log.

    I found some files that are suspicious to me so I need you to submit these files one at a time to a single file scanner to check on their status/bad or good.

    I need you to submit file(s) to see if it(they) are infected or legit:--http://virusscan.jotti.org/

    Files:

    1. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\locate.com

    2. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\qtalt.ax

    3. C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\rmalt.ax

    4. C:\WINDOWS\system32\5D5C54E3EE.sys

    5. C:\WINDOWS\system32\vsconfig.xml

    Copy/Paste the results for me please for each file back here for me to take a look at please.

    Did you do an Ewido scan also?
