Welcome to DAL,
Are you running an anti-virus program?
I don't see signs of a firewall either.
Good and free anti-virus program below:
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/Get+AVG+FREE/lng/us/tpl/v5
Free and good firewall below:
http://smb.sygate.com/products/spf_standard.htm
Lets see what some virus scans can uncover and we will go from there.
Get the stinger here:
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/
Download it to another computer if need be, and bring it to the affected computer on floppy disk.
It will kill the top 53 virus files if any are found there
then,
Switch over to Internet explorer and make it your default browser to run these scans please.
Internet Explorer required
Run these two online virus scanners (Panda Activescan) following these instructions below:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/product..._principal.htm
Internet Explorer required
Also this excellent(BitDefender) scanner:http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html
These scans will take more than an hour to complete, so make sure you have time to let them run thru. Save the Panda scan log and the BitDefender log and post them back here please with a new Hijackthis log.
Thanks.

Still nothing showing in your HJT log, this may not be related to a virus issue.
Let's try this:
Download CCleaner from here:
http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4191.html
or here:
http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner.html
Install and run it. The windows tab should be opened in the upper left of the program. Click analyze and then click run cleaner. Just use the windows tab that is up front by default.
1.Uncheck "Cookies" under "Internet Explorer".
2.If you are running Firefox: ,then click on the "Applications" tab and uncheck "Cookies" under "Firefox".
Reboot and post a new HJT log, I may be sending you off to a different part of this forum for help.

There just isn't anythng showing anywhere.
Go here:
Let's see if anything is hidden by running these two tools:
1. Please download dllcompare (A scanner to locate hidden DLL files) from this locations:
DLLCompare
2. When you execute dllcompare.exe, by default the c:\windows\system32 is selected. This can be changed to scan you entire computer for any file type - Simply select the path and check off the box labelled "Include SubDirectories"
3. Click on "Locate.com" and allow the scan to complete.
4. After the scan has finished click on "Compare" to scan for the files that Windows does not see. This step will take a few minutes to run.
5. If the box at the bottom of the screen contains any files, these are the ones that are hidden - Click on "Make a Log of what was Found".
6. When prompted to "View Log File" click on "Yes".
7. Notepad will open with the log file contents.
8. In Notepad, click on "Edit" => "Select All" => "Edit" = "Copy" and post the contents as a reply to this message.
Also:
Download rkfiles
Go to http://skads.org/special/rkfiles.zip and download. Unzip it, we will use it in a bit.
[list=1][*] Extract (unzip) the files inside into their own folder called FindQoologic.[*] Open the FindQoologic folder.[*]Locate and double-click the Find-Qoologic.bat to run it.
The tool will open a DOS window and begin to check your system.
It will be completely finished when a text file will pop open in Notepad called "file.txt" (about 5 minutes).
Save this text file in the FindQoologic folder.
Close the DOS box after the text pops up on your screen.[*]Run rkfiles. A log will be saved at C:\log.txt[*] Locate the rkfiles log and the file.txt you saved.
Copy and paste the contents of both reports into your next post.

the logs are too big, you know of a place i could upload the txt files?
-
Use several posts or try an attachment. When you click on post to reply scroll down a little bit and click manage attachments and attach it like that.
Download to desktop then upload as an attachment.
