Threats that Norton won't Fix (Resolved)

I'm getting excited about having a clean computer... tonight I ran Ad-Aware and Spybot and got a clean bill of health. But as I continue to run Norton AV, there are several threats that they list, but they can't delete. I went into safe mode and took a look at all of these, but I don't want to delete them without your OK. If I delete the files, is that enough, or do I need to make changes to the registry?

    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5.CX6J0D2V\addit[1].exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Received Files\Backup-20040919...
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Received Files\Backup-20040922...
    C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\My Received Files\Backup-20040923...
    C:\May17loader.exe
    C:\Program Files\Cxtpls\uninstaller.exe
    C:\Program Files\SEP\Sep.dll

Why is it that Norton is able to take care of certain threats, and others it can't delete?

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate all the time you put into this.

You need to Boot into Safe Mode and delete:

    C:\Program Files\Cxtpls
    C:\Program Files\SEP
    C:\May17loader.exe

You can delete anything you want in My Received Files, they are obviously infected files that have been sent via MSN Messenger.

Then go to Start> Run and type cleanmgr

    Put a checkmark next to:
    Temporary Internet Files
    Recycle Bin
    Temporary Files

    Click Ok.

Reboot and it should be solved

Done. Thanks; things are looking really great! I found a ton of cached JPEGs and deleted them, got rid of some other junk, and my computer is really cooking right now. My husband moved our airport too, and I'm getting a great signal... life is good!
