hi, i think i too am having a problem with the sasser virus.

This is what happens...

I boot my pc, and after about 5 seconds of logging into my account, a window pops up saying the pc wil restart and a count-dwon begins. BUT when this message pops up, explorer.exe shuts down so i cannot run any program or i cant do anything. I tried to open programs via the task manager but nothing happns, and the pc becomes slow as hell.

After the count-down has finished, the pc doesn't restart, it just freezez.

Help is very much appriciated.

If you are having problems please post a hijackthis log in your very own thread please.

Click the "Post a new Thread" button at the top of the page.


Create a new folder in your C: Drive
Name it C:\HJT or HijackThis and move the HijackThis.exe file in it.
It's best for this tool NOT TO be located in your Desktop or in a TEMP folder.
This way you can undo any changes if something goes wrong

Click scan and save a log file and notepad will open up with HJT inside. Copy/Paste into your reply. Thanks.
