I assume the problem I have if virus related, here goes.

Over the last couple of days my pc has started to shut down and reboot itself after being on for a matter of minutes. When it reboots it comes up with a message saying the system has recovered from a serious error and creates a minidump folder. I have installed all relevant windows updates and tried to run ad-aware but the pc doesn't stay on long enough for it to run!

Hi Sidneyd. are you on xp? If so it sounds like you have the sasser virus. You can download the fix from here. Incidentally, do you have anti-virus software installed?

Hi, yeh it is XP. I do have anti virus but it doesn't appear to be very good as I don't seem able to update it. I've been recommended to get AVG.

I use AVG and it's first class, did you manage to try the sasser fix?
