Are you using a full version 2K disk or an HP disk?
I tried looking up the Pavilion 7500 & it returns too many replies.
There must be 7501? or 7500xyz?
If you have a full version disk then this is moot but if your disk is an HP disk we need to know the exact model.

and leave the file system unchanged. So, presumably, now I have two copies of win2k on my system, and at least one should work (if it was system error) but still no luck. Now it doesn't even gets to the "windows 200 professional" start up screen... It hangs up before that, doing nothing, complaining about nothing... It was suggested to me to clean all of the possible connections inside the box - videocard, memory sticks, - everything I'd be able to do without breaking it apart. Because it seemed as if system asks some process to respond and waits for an answer forever...
