need major help with trojans! before insanity sets in!

I have a serious problem at the moment with this trojan that is impossible to remove . I have searched to the end of the internet and downloaded more spyware programs than you can point a hot stick at and still this trojan refuses to budge. Same old story it comes up, says it need to reboot to delete, but ofcourse its still there when i boot up. the main program i am using to locate the trojan at the moment is XoftSpy 4.15. it can easily recognise it but if i even try and remove it the computer goes into panick mode and a little dialog box appears and gives me 60 seconds untill my computer shuts down. the trojan is Troj/Tofger-AW and is located in C:\\windows\svchost.exe. I also believe that it is this trojan that is responsible for the pop-up dialog box's that appear whenever I'm online. There are several different variations of box's but they all basically tell me I have a problem with my registration and that i need to go to the site listed at the bottom of the box (the sites are always different depending on the box that appears). I don't know if it helps but some of the sites its asking me to visit are: www.wupdate.net, http://fixmyreg.com.

someone out there for the love of god please help me with this befor i put my fist through the monitor in frustration and take a rusty chainsaw to the hard drive!

    thanx

HJThis should be along tomorrow to read your log.

    I would just point out:

Please when this issue is resolved download SP2 & all subsequent Critical Updates!

You are not even running SP1

Alot of holes have been found & fixed but you need to install all the fixes to prevent issues like those that you are having!

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!
    Yes.

After someone takes the time to clear up your problem it will certainly return in less than a half hour on-line. The virusus are out there; they do not get destroyed.

But the immunization is out there as well; and that is what you need.

XP is now up to Service Pack 2 (SP2) plus some 15 or so subsequent Critical Updates.

As soon as you are cleaned up here go to Start > All Programs > Windows Update

Install SP2 & all Critical Updates otherwise these problems will just keep on coming back.

After you install SP2 you can set Windows Update to Automatic & then all future updates will be loaded.
