    Modem Keeps disconnecting

    Hello,
    When I dialup on my laptop, it connects but then disconnects as soon as I go to a website. Someone told me this happens because of a virus messing up my modem. I use Norton, adaware and spybot and they have found no problems.

    Is this HJ log OK?....can anybody advise me of any problems.

    Thanks greatly in advance

    Hello,Spotty & Welcome

    Well the only items i see here are these

    Check the following items in HijackThis.
    Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Window Title =

    O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {327C2873-E90D-4c37-AA9D-10AC9BABA46C} - (no file)

    Then just close out of HijackThis see how it is & do this here

    click start->settings->control panel->internet options->programs tab->RESET WEB SETTINGS

    That will change everything back to defaults (M$)......

    Change your homepage and search engines to whatever you wish and reset your pc.

    When it boots back up, open IE and see if the page stays the way that you set it.
