I moved out as many photos / vids as I could to another folder all that would not move where 3 files that where converted from VCD using ISO Buster ( downloaded freeware ) I deleted both video files then the thumbnails.dll file . Then I moved all files back in . Hey presto it worked

Many thanks for all your patience and help

When I clicked on My Pictures on the start menu the contents of the folder appeared and also up popped up that windows had aproblem and the programmes will close if then double clicked on a subfolder to try to access it everything freezed. I susubsequently found that i could still clig and drag sub folders out into another folder. So I moved them 1 by 1 untill i was left with 3 files that wouldn't move or delete access was denied. These files where converted VCD files from a programme called ISO Buster (freeware ) that I had recently downloaded. I then deleted the 2 mpeg files seperateley then a file called thumbnails.dll.
