When clicking on MY Pictures icon the folder appears and whithin seconds the windows explorer notice pops up to say that it has encountered a problem and has to shut down. I clicked on sending an error report and the reply was i probably had a virus TrojanDownloader:Win32/Purstiu.A,

Now lit me ask you is it on all files/folders or
just that one folder & what is it that you are trying
to do print somthing in that folder???

It is "My Pictures folder, I have tried accessing from my start menu or searching for a picture in the folder with the same result.

now have you tried doing it from say Safe Mode???
also what about if you try & rename the Folder see what happens

Ok I have tried opening the My pictures folder in safe mode and it doesn't show any pictures within it. In normal mode I clicked on Start menu and clicked on My Pictures, as the folder opens up showing subfolders the notification appears(See screen dump). At this state i can click and move a sub folder out. I can then open that up as normal by just clicking on it.
I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager to view the pictures.
