    Press control-alt-delete to get into the task manager and end the follow processes if they exist:
    p2pnetworking.exe
    winupdates.exe


    If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. if it is uncheck it and try again.

    Uninstall the following via the Add/Remove Panel (Start->(Settings)->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs) if they exist:
    winupdate,p2pnetworking.exe

    Check the following items in HijackThis.
    Close all windows except HijackThis and click Fix checked:

    R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing

    hey! thank you so much! i did exactly what you told me to do and my computer runs great now! its werid my internet used to show activity all the time even tho i wasnt using it sometimes, its running great now, i also found a c:uploads folder i deleted it it had all kinds of suspious files on it, but i think it had something to do with that p2p .exe u told me to delete, but everything good so far thanks alot! i really apperiacte this, ur know ur stuff thanks! here is my log file again.

    That's good to hear now i have this for you to do

    Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:

    1. From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
    2. Click once on the Security tab
    3. Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
    4. Click once on the Custom Level button.
