Yes this seems to be going around as of late sometimes
we have found it to be a Virus a Trojan or Spyware
but so far you have not as far as i can tell show this
it maybe as you just asked i am trying to find a fix for you

if you can see if you can run a system check
is may tell you & me what is going on here
as i said i will keep looking on my end for you

You may need to have the WinXP CD to do this
but anyway try this here

goto Start > Run > Type this sfc /scannow
again see if you have the WinXP CD

I did this and it seemed to work fine. When I checked on it it had finished and is looked like there was no record of it actually running like a log file. The problem still seems to exist. Any other ideas?

Try this please just click on this attachment & rename it exefix.reg

save it to your Desktop but make sure to save as All files
then just right click & say yes/ok to Merge lit me know

I ran the exefix you sent I have not seem the problem but have not used the computer much in the last few days. What is that fix you attatched? Anyway, thanks again I will let you know if this fixes it.

i can find more info on this problem that file
is just that it will try & fix programs that want open

Still seems to be having the problem. I can always open internet explorer but other programs and files won't open after computer is on for a time.
