Hi

Followed directions re Adaware and Spybot which I use regulalrly in any case. Spybot picked up a couple of things - forget what now but I destroyed them, ran it again, found something else - destroyed it, ran again - all clear.

Previously had run AVG and CWShredder before I read these instructions.


Then ran HJT.

Symptoms..I have had problems staying connected to Net, Firefox won't load properly, laptop running very slow...

Any help you can give much appreciated

had problems saving and attaching the log file - hope this is OK

popular programs for doing this, is a freeware program Called Crap Cleaner. Crap Cleaner is a single utility that lets you clear your Cookies, Internet Explorer History, Empty the Recycle Bin, Uninstall Programs, Clear Usage Tracks and much more. As well as this, it has an Advanced Registry Scanner. Using a program like this is one of the easiest methods.

install them run them but not yet

first run a full system Scandisk & Defrag then run the 2 progs

but as always make a restore point & backup the Registry first

Kind of glad to hear that there's not too much here although a bit mystified what the problem was earlier - I have had reasonable stabaility on wireless connection since first posting and Mozilla seems to be back to full health. No problem when i say full system scan i'm saying to
do it on the Drive that has your OS install on it & to
let it run/do it's thing sometimes ppl stop scandisk
because they feel it takes to long.

but it help a ton to use both Scandisk & Defrag
i use it about 2 times a week but that's me

A Restore Point
To create a new System Restore Point, click Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> System Tools -> System Restore.
When the System Restore Utility opens, click "Create a Restore Point" then click Next.
Enter a name for this Restore Point, and click Create.
