Unzip Hoster to a convenient location like your desktop and double click on

Press 'Restore Original Hosts' and press 'OK'
Exit Program.
Note: if you were using a custom Hosts file you will need to replace any of those entries yourself


Please download miekiemoes' LQfix batch here:

Unzip it to the desktop but do NOT run it yet.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following:
1) Restart your computer
2) After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
3) Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear
4) Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.

Once in Safe Mode, please run LQfix.bat. When finished, restart your computer in normal mode and please post a new HijackThis log.

well Yes I am still having the sane problem. I can't access any page. When i try to search for www.google.com, the bottom scroll says...opening "www.google.com.com" and "www.google.com.net." Then a small Microsoft IE window/pop up pops up saying "Internet Explorer could not open the search page". When i click OK, the bottom scroll once again shows "Downloading from site: res://C:\WINDOWS\System32\shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm"

Ok not sure if you tride this once or not or if it may
work give it a try ???

goto Start > Run > type CMD & add this ipconfig/flushdns
& click Enter make sure not to have any windows open

NOTE if you get an error try it with a Space like so ipconfig /flushdns

yes, i have tried ipconfig/flushdns as well as ipconfig/release and renew, but it doesn't help. I even have it connect to a dial up modem. It was able to access the network, but i can't access the internet...

Lit me ask you this do you know when this started to happen
was it after an install or Uninstall of some software or maybe the
Removal of some spyware.

by the way try this for me please

1.) Download WinsockFix.zip. (by: Option^Explicit)
2.) UnZip WinsockFix.zip (Pay close attention to where the file is extracted to.)
3.) Run WinsockFix.exe.
4.) Click the Fix button.


This program will clean up your TCP/IP connection and rebuild the database. After the program is complete, reboot.
