HSA and Search Extender will not delete...help plz :)

I had to download a couple drivers after I wiped the hard drive for my brother. He couldn't find the proper drivers on a disk and I was stuck finding them online. I couldn't find them before he managed to jack up his puter by downloading something. Please help me when you get a chance. I use spybot ad-aware and spywareblaster as well as I've downloaded the critical updates. I make him use firefox but he still gets popups when he doesn't run spybot or the other anti-junk shat. Thanks for your help, it's most appreciated. Also if anybody knows how to get a hold of a couple drivers for an unknown computer manufacturer w/o the proper numbers please let me know. All the programs are legit, the tag just wore off and he bought his laptop wholesale before they put the Manufacturer's tags on it, so I don't know the make.

I have the google toolbar installed but when you start IE it goes to about:blank and it's called Quick Web Search. I just started IE and it automatically goes there instead of the usual homepage that it was with google.

As for the search extender, I'm not sure what exactly it is. It's on the add/remove programs but it just sends me to a site instead of removing it. I just deleted the ones you told me to delete. The main problem I run into when I start IE is the popups. I get a lot while IE is just open and sometimes when it's closed. I love FireFox but my bro hates it.

These are hardcore buggers... I did just as you said and no dice. My control panel: Add/Remove still shows: shopping wizard, search extender and home search assistant. I'm surfing the net a bit on it though and there was only one or two popups on IE but it still goes to about:blank. Wait... here they are. While I'm writing this I'm getting popups from Auroora which it says is part of the ABI Network, like I really care who the ABI Network is and that I trust them or something after they jacked up the puter.... amazing.

Here is a repost and it seems that a couple of the ones I previously deleted are back in action. Thanks again for your time that you've spent helping me out.
