I keep getting popups by loadingwebsite and paypopup. Also my Microsoft Internet Explorer starting page keeps changing after a reboot.

I ran Trend pc cillin an Spybot search and destroy but nothing changes.

Can anyone help me get rid of these enoying popups ?

Can you please tell me what your start page looks like and what it is supposed to be? I assume you want it to be google.be

What is Plus18Point? If it's not supposed to be on there, I would navigate to C:\Program Files\Plus18Point\Portal and then delete the file called portal.html. Then, check if your homepage is either blank or back to normal. It it is blank, run another scan on HijackThis and put a check next to

R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Startpagina = file:///C:/Program%20Files/Plus18Point/Portal/portal.html

and then click fix.

Now run the 2 progs i had you download like so

Run CWShredder by double-clicking on CWShredder.exe.

- Click "Fix ->" and click "OK" at the prompt.
- CWShredder will scan and clean your system of CWS files.
- Click "Next->" and then "Exit".


Run AboutBuster ... browse to where you saved AboutBuster and run AboutBuster.exe.

- Click "OK" at the directions prompt.
- Click "Start" and then "OK" to run
- Click "Yes" to allow it to shut down explorer.exe.

It will begin to your computer for malicious files. If it asks if you would like to do a second pass, allow it to do so.

When it has finished, click "Save Log". We will need you to post a copy of the log after all steps here are finished.

Then do this here before you go online

click start->settings->control panel->internet options->programs tab->RESET WEB SETTINGS

That will change everything back to defaults (M$)......

Change your homepage and search engines to whatever you wish and reset your pc.

When it boots back up, open IE and see if the page stays the way that you set it.

Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:

1. From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
2. Click once on the Security tab
3. Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
4. Click once on the Custom Level button.
1. Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
2. Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
3. Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
4. Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
5. Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
6. Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
7. When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
8. If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
5. Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
