hijackthis log
Hi,
I am hoping you can check my hijackthis log. I am having a problem with my programs running. Every program stalls my whole computer when I try to work with it. I have done system restores and things like that but programs like spybot and ad aware can't finish in order for me to find out if I have a virus or not. I have tried this in safe mode also and still they stall. This is my husbands puter and so I don't have alot of info about it but he said he had gotten a device driver error once and then all this stalling started. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,Blackde & Welcome
Well as for the logfile it looks good on my end
see if a good cleaning & a full system Scandisk & Defrag
in Safe Mode helps & also use this prog here to clean
the PC if then you still have the problem lit us know.
Now run this prog first then run Scandisk & Defrag
popular programs for doing this, is a freeware program Called Crap Cleaner. Crap Cleaner is a single utility that lets you clear your Cookies, Internet Explorer History, Empty the Recycle Bin, Uninstall Programs, Clear Usage Tracks and much more. As well as this, it has an Advanced Registry Scanner. Using a program like this is one of the easiest methods.
after doing the above lit us know how it is doing

HGD,
Thanks for the welcome and looking at my hijackthis log. I tried the cccleaner and then tried to do the other ones. The cccleaner downloaded and worked fine but when i tried the other it stalled. I kept trying but after doing all that the puter just didn't want to startup again. It just had a black screen. We left it for awhile and came back. My husband tried to fiddle with it and it froze again. He is able to get on pogo.com and launch one of their applets but it froze after he tried to launch a third one with his messenger on. So things aren't seeming to work in safe mode either. Should I go to an xp board and post there? We don't know how to fix it and my husband doesn't have the patience for it. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it. lol i don't understand much of the computer and even less when the whole thing freezes. The cursor won't even move.

Hi,Blackde
Well going to a XP site is up to you but without

oh no i just meant this site but on the xp board part of it. I didn't know if you wanted me to stay on the hijackthis board or go to the other one. I don't want to be in the wrong area if i am lol. Do you have any ideas what could be wrong? I dont know why the programs don't run. luckily i'm more patient than my husband lol.
