Hello,kristinaschildren & Welcome
I have some software for you to download install & update
1. Download and Install Aware SE, keeping the default options. However, some of the settings will need to be changed before your first scan
2.Close ALL windows except Ad-Aware SE
3. Click on the‘world’ icon at the top right of the Ad-Aware SE window and let AdAware SE update the reference list for the adware and malware.
4. Once the update is finished click on the ‘Gear’ icon (second from the left at the top of the window) to access the preferences/settings window
1) In the ‘General’ window make sure the following are selected in green:
*Automatically save log-file
*Automatically quarantine objects prior to removal
*Safe Mode (always request confirmation)
Under Definitions:
*Prompt to udate outdated definitions - set the number of days
2) Click on the ‘Scanning’ button on the left and select in green :
Under Driver, Folders & Files:
*Scan Within Archives
Under Select drives & folders to scan -
*choose all hard drives
Under Memory & Registry: all green
*Scan Active Processes
*Scan Registry
*Deep Scan Registry
*Scan my IE favorites for banned URL’s
*Scan my Hosts file
3) Click on the ‘Advanced’ button on the left and select in green:
Under Shell Integration:
*Move deleted files to recycle bin
Under Logfile Detail Level: (all green)
*include addtional object information
*DESELECT - include negligible objects information
*include environment information
Under Alternate Data Streams:

*Don't log ADS with the following names: CA_INOCULATEIT
4) Click the ‘Tweak’ button and select in green:
Under the ‘Scanning Engine’:
*Unload recognized processes during scanning
*Scan registry for all users instead of current user only
Under the ‘Cleaning Engine’:
*Let Windows remove files in use at next reboot
Under the Log Files:
*Include basic Ad-aware SE settings in logfile
*Include additional Ad-aware SE settings in logfile
*Please do not check or make green: Include Module list in logfile
5. Click on ‘Proceed’ to save the settings.
6. Click ‘Start’
*Choose:'Perform Full System Scan'
*DESELECT "Search for negligible risk entries", as negligible risk entries (MRU's) are not considered to be a threat.
7. Click ‘Next’ and Ad-Aware SE will scan your hard drive(s) with the options you have selected and clean automatically.
8. If Ad-Aware SE finds bad entries, you will receive a list of what it found in the window
9. Save the log file when it asks and then click ‘finish’
10. REBOOT to complete the removal of what Ad-Aware SE found
1.Downloaded and Install Spybot Search & Destroy, accepting the Default Settings
2. In the Menu Bar at the top of the Spybot window you will see 'Mode'. Make certain that 'default mode' has a check mark beside it.
3. Close ALL windows except Spybot S&D
4. Click the button to ‘Search for Updates’ then download and install the Updates.
5. Next click the button ‘Check for Problems’

7. Make certain there is a check mark beside all of the RED entries ONLY.
8. Choose ‘Fix Selected Problems’ and allow Spybot to fix the RED entries.
9.REBOOT to complete the scan and clear memory.
Finally after running both Spybot SD and Ad-Aware SE,
I also need you to download these items here do all downloads first
Download the Hoster from here. Press "Restore Original Hosts" and press "OK". Exit Program. This will restore the original deleted Hosts file.
& this last item use after you do all of the above
popular programs for doing this, is a freeware program Called Crap Cleaner. Crap Cleaner is a single utility that lets you clear your Cookies, Internet Explorer History, Empty the Recycle Bin, Uninstall Programs, Clear Usage Tracks and much more. As well as this, it has an Advanced Registry Scanner. Using a program like this is one of the easiest methods.
now please take your time we well still be here again download all these
items first then update them & then run Ad-Aware Se > Spybot > run the Hoster > & last run > CCleaner
once you do all that run HijackThis post new logfile also give us

OK, I downloaded Ad-aware SE. Changed all other selections red but the ones you said should be green, I hope that was right. I had another version of the program there but this one seemed to be much more effective, it found 54 more critical objects.
I rebooted and downloaded Spybot. It found 9 more.
I can not download updates to programs though as the basic problem is that I cannot access Internet!
I also seem to have problems with downloading the Hosts program. It won't give me access to your link. It says "IE cannot download hoster.zip from members.aol.com. IE was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later." Can you pls send me another link to the program.
I did succeed to downloaded Crap Cleaner though, but did not run it yet, because you told me to do it after Hoster.

Hi,kristinaschildren
First you have Ad-Aware 6 installed or an old Ver of Spybot
you should uninstall both & run the new Ver's
as for updates you can download them & then place
them in the location you install the progs
Latest definition file: SE1R45 13.05.2005
Please Note Version SE Build 1.05 is now available! This download is for use with this version only.
Manual Installation: Unzip the archive, replace the existing file and restart Ad-Aware\Ad-Watch.
You can also use the webupdate component implemented in Ad-Aware to install this update.
This is an update for a detection library. Only needed if you do not want to use the update function integrated into Spybot-S&D.
http://www.spybotupdates.com/updates...d_advcheck.exe
Try this one
Download the Hoster from here: http://www.funkytoad.com/download/hoster.zip
Press 'Restore Original Hosts' and press 'OK'
Exit Program.

Thank you! I have now done all that. Found some more spyware with AdAware, Spybot and CrapCleaner. There is some Wild Tangent CDA that tries to start when I restart the PC. Is it something that I need or can I just delete it?
Here is my latest Hijack this file:

Hi, sorry, part of the file names were in Finnish.
Työpöytä is desktop
Ohjelmatiedostot is program files
my server is pp.inet.fi so I think the 2 first rows are ok
I have now uninstalled the Wild Tangent from add/remove programs, and the Hijack program, but there still seems to be a Wild tangent folder in Windows/application data, can I just delete it?
Also I took off

Hi,kristinaschildren
Ok do this here
Make your Internet Explorer more secure - This can be done by following these simple instructions:
1. From within Internet Explorer click on the Tools menu and then click on Options.
2. Click once on the Security tab
3. Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
4. Click once on the Custom Level button.
1. Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
2. Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
3. Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
4. Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
5. Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
6. Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
7. When all these settings have been made, click on the OK button.
8. If it prompts you as to whether or not you want to save the settings, press the Yes button.
5. Next press the Apply button and then the OK to exit the Internet Properties page.
Then reboot the PC & see if you have any pages
