Spyware that will not go away

I have been running Adware and Spybot for a long time. Every time I run adware, it shows 'BroadCast PC', which I faithfully delete. I have tried removing it from my Programs file and also the Registry entry - but still it keeps appearing.

Any thoughts how I might get rid rid of the *!#$@ thing?

PestPatrol appears to this computer tech to be targeted specifically at BroadCastPC. Aside from that, it only does what Ad-Aware and SpyBot do. What would probably greatly help people using this forum is a way to manually remove this scumware. Unless, of course, this site is involved in some kind of advertising contract with PestPatrol... Honestly, I think that programs which only target one specific type of scumware are about as bad as the scumware itself.

PestPatrol is not targeted specifically at Broadcast PC, it detects the amount of spyware both Ad-aware and Spybot do. PestPatrol is notorious for picking up false positives though. I have performed on an Online Pest Scan (www.pestscan.com) and its picked up quite a few false positives which none of the other programs do.

Where did you get that idea? Just because one of our members linked to a PestPatrol information page doesn't mean we are affiliated with PestPatrol, which I can tell you we are not.

Many people have tried and it never works. It is an impossible task because many of the specialist tools require a lot of learning behind them. Its also impossible to provide manual removal instructions for every single piece of scumware that exists, because that is probably adding up to millions. By offering support in the way this forum and many other forums do, users do the work themselves but they are advised and know they can trust the information. If I didn't have a clue about scumware and had to manually remove it, I wouldn't be very keen on the idea and would want to ask questions.
