    Re: HijackThis log, please help?

I was just reading the links at the bottom of your siggy. Do you suggest turning off my system restore feature? I did come in handy for me a few times in the past but when I had all this spyware junk happen, the system restore refused to work. I haven't tries a system restore since. Should I create a point and then disable it?

Sometimes your system creates copies of viruses and spyware and antivirus programs detect them, but can't access system restore. Thats what the link is for, when you disable it, it flushes the contents. System Restore is a critical feature of XP, so never disable it.

You may want to disable it to flush the contents, then enable it again and create a new restore point for future use. System Restore doesn't work in all cases, sometimes the files are corrupted.
