Currently using the wife's laptop to get online, however I can't install Norton Internet Security, any help is appreciated!

Your log is clean.
Please temporarily disable Spybot's TeaTimer. It may well be preventing Norton from installing.
Open Spybot and click on Mode > Advanced
Check yes to next window.
Click on Tools in bottom left hand corner:
Click on Resident. Uncheck Resident "TeaTimer" box.
Close Spybot. Reboot your computer.
Try installing Norton again (if you must)
