Loadingwebsite and similar problems
I have been having problems with such web sites as "http://www.loadingwebsite.com/normal/yyy15.html" and "http://e.rn11.com/a/a174-admed-ron" bringing themselves up when I don't even have Explorer up. I have run Spybot and Ad-Aware. I also have run, prior to these two, the Beta Microsoft AntiSpyware. They all seem to find lots of stuff even on re-runs after supposedly fixing things. Especially Ad-Aware. On re-boots I get variations of the message "RUNDLL An exception occurred while trying to run ""C:\WINDOWS\system32\PTUSTAB.DLL",UMonitor" " Another similar one was identical except the DLL file was mndtcprx.dll,UMonitor.
When I run Ad-Aware, I always get a Microsoft error even though i do not have Windows Explorer up, "Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close ... please tell Microsoft" and my mouse switches from my normal left handed configuration to right handed. I close the error window, send the stuff to Microsoft and proceed with Ad-Aware which - at the end, after trying to correct things, tells me it can't do a bunch of them and please let it do so on reboot. I tell it to please do that very thing, but it does not bring itself up. I do - twice - and the cycle repeats itself.
Following is my hijack log:

Sorry about the response time.
You have the latest version of VX2. Shadowwar and OSC (2 experts) have come out with a fix for it.
Please download L2mfix from one of these two locations:
http://www.atribune.org/downloads/l2mfix.exe
http://www.downloads.subratam.org/l2mfix.exe
Save the file to your desktop and double click l2mfix.exe. Click the Install button to extract the files and follow the prompts, then open the newly added l2mfix folder on your desktop. Double click l2mfix.bat and select option #1 for Run Find Log by typing 1 and then pressing enter. This will scan your computer and it may appear nothing is happening, then, after a minute or 2, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it into this thread.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run option #2 OR any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!

Since my post while awaiting your reply, I got a call from a Microsoft SpyWare tech (believe it or not). He suggested running Ad-Aware in safe mode repeatedly until I got a clean run. Then running SpyBot until clean and then running SpyWare until clean. I did so - and it took LOTS of runs, especially of Ad-Aware. (By the way, the tech said that was the program he uses on his home PC
- altho he is very postive about the Microsoft acquisition.) This seemed to help a lot - possibly even fixing the problems I was having
. But to be sure I followed your instructions and here are the contents of the 12mfix log:
L2MFIX find log 1.02b

That has to be one of the worst responses I've seen to a spyware infection. It took you so many runs because thats not the way to remove spyware and there is a huge chance that it will just return. Your infection is still there so we still need to do some work.
Close any programs you have open since this step requires a reboot.
From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #2 for Run Fix by typing 2 and then pressing enter, then press any key to reboot your computer. After a reboot, your desktop and icons will appear, then disappear (this is normal). L2mfix will continue to scan your computer and when it's finished, notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
-
Here's the I2Mfix log, and I'll submit the HijackThis log separately since I was exceeding the 20,000 character limit with both.

From the l2mfix folder on your desktop, double click l2mfix.bat and select option #4 for Run Fix by typing 4 and then pressing enter. Press any key to continue. Press E and then Enter to Exit. Notepad will open with a log. Copy the contents of that log and paste it back into this thread, along with a new hijackthis log.
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other files in the l2mfix folder until you are asked to do so!
Please download LSPFix from here. Unzip it and run LSPFix.exe.
1) When LSPFix has started, put a checkmark in "I know what I am doing"
2) In the Keep column, select all dolsp.dll entries and click the arrow to move them into the remove column.
3) Click the Finish button to remove them.
Then Boot into Safe Mode
Delete the following files:
c:\windows\system32\dolsp.dll
Reboot and post a fresh Hijack This log

After the last reboot, I ran and got the above Hijack log. When i went to go online I found that I'd lost my connection to the internet. I tried to re-initialize my modem by powering down the CPU and the modem and then turning the modem back on. That did not work. I called Adelphia tech support, my service provider. They checked several things and determined that my modem was working okay. I then called Dell tech support. They got me back on line by "re-initializing the ip setting or address". I know at one point they had me delete Winsock.
