    Unhappy AdTools Hijack

I have found AdTools on one of my Researcher's machines. I didnt find it from the typical scan, I found it because it would shutdown his system when Running Ad-AwareSE. I can not kill the process with Task Manager or Hijackthis. Here is the log:

Sorry Owen, I was able to kill it with Killbox. I was not able to delete it right away, but I used the Replace with Dummy option and appears to have killed it.

I am re-running Ad-Aware to ensure that fixed it.

Don't forget to get rid of this entry in Hijack This:

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AdTools Service] C:\Program Files\AdTools Service\AdTools.exe

Deleting the folder in Safe Mode would have done the trick as well. You can delete the Dummy Folder.

Worst part of this, I have all of those tools installed...but you cant stop a user unless you break his fingers! I will go through your list with a fine toothed comb just to be sure.

Again, thank you again for you help.
