    Trojan.StartPage automatic download

Hey, I have a little problem with that damn Trojan.StartPage, which somehow has infested my computer... Kinda. Every time I open IE, Norton AntiVirus pops up with a warning about the Trojan.StartPage being found and deleted. It isn't really a threat, but it's pretty annoying.

I have SpySweeper, Norton Internet Security 2005 (Including Norton AntiVirus, etc.)

    Any help would be appreciated

    Here is my HJT log:

Can I just say I've suggested the removal of F:\Beware entries below because I don't recognise them. One of them seems to be associated with your username, so if you know its legit, don't entering it into the KillBox or fix it in HJT.

Download the Pocket Killbox from here.

Unzip it and run the program.

Put a check in the Delete on Reboot box.

Enter each of these lines into the white box one by one and then press the red X button. If firsts asks to confirm the deletion after each entry is added and the red X is pressed, you need to click yes, but it also asks if you want to Reboot. Click No each time until the last entries been entered.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\elpjcj.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\qwsxp.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\msulp.dll
    F:\beware

When KillBox has rebooted your system, restart Hijack This and check these entries and click Fix Checked. Some may have (file missing) at the end, still fix them:

I've done as you said, almost, and removed those filenames, including the beware-stuff. Not because it was spyware or vira, but I didn't use it. Actually, it's an IRC server.

But I've removed the others via HJT, and they're gone. Nothing seems to be wrong now. I've also downloaded the program, you suggested, and everything seems to be fine

Thank you for the help, it's great to have a clean computer.

It seems like I didn't get rid of it anyways. It seems to start something by itself and then downloading that trojan.startpage. I'll attach a screenshot with the message, Norton pops up with. And I've translated everything to English.

    UPDATE:
I think the problem is, that my computer automatically creates a new .dll file on every startup, which tells my computer to download Trojan.Startpage every time I connect to the internet, which is annoying, and which results in this: I cannot open Norton Antivirus for a full system scan. It pops up the virus warning, and the norton freezes. It's REALLY annoying.. The reason, that I think this, is that - as you can see - it now runs a new .dll called ekahbga.dll.

I'll post a new HJT log:

And this time, I won't do anything before I get the answer - it seems like it didn't work before, where I acted before reading the answer.

    Well, I'm patient now
    Thanks in advance.

Save 20% on AVG Internet Security 2012 Suite!

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ekahbga.dll

When KillBox has rebooted your system, restart Hijack This and check these entries and click Fix Checked (some may have the (file missing) extension, still fix them):

Download, install and then run Crap Cleaner from here to empty your Temp folders where sp.dll is hiding.

Then reboot and post a fresh Hijack This log.

Thanks for thinking about the English translations
