    Hi-jack this logging problem

    I am currently experiencing problems with about:blank. I have downloaded hi-jack this, & when I try to log the scan I get the message: There was a problem loading the file specified when running the Accessibility Wizard". I have no idea what is causing this - I downloaded the .exe file & the log file.

    Anyone have any ideas how I can fix this problem. My long term goal is to get rid of about blank.

    Try downloading the older version of Hijack This from here. Unzip it and generate a log. Post that here.

    Owen - I downloaded the older version of Hijack this, but I can't unzip it - I'm running on windows 98. Could that be the problem? It keeps asking me to save it or open it? (as if it hasn't been downloaded yet)

    Try downloading the EXE file from http://www.isecurity.org.uk/download...ckthis1982.exe.

    I downloaded the exe file & scanned & selected save log - I received the same message as nefore regarding the accessibility wizard. I'm not sure I know what the accessibility wizard is.

    Does the logfile actually save? If it does, then you should be able to Go to Start> Programs> Accessories> Notepad then from Notepad click File> Open and then locate the logfile it saved and click Open.
