In your notes on 'preventing it returning' you mention 'real time spyware' (no. 4). well i've got adaware and spybot but presume these are just the scanners and not real tim. So do I need a piece of real time spyware and if so what one should i get? is there a free download?
Also I can't find the 'Spyware blaster' under start menu>programs. Guess this is because I haven't downloaded it? if so do i need to?
Finally you mentio 'constant spyware protection' (no. 6) and spyware guard - is this a programme i need or am i just ok with the 2 above?

Spyware Guard is a real time spyware scanner. I'd recommend downloading Spyware Blaster. You download that, check for updates and click Enable All and your done. It should prevent a lot of bad programs from being downloaded. Check for updates every 2-3 weeks.

Spybot does have Real Time Spyware Protection which is known as the TeaTimer. Either choose the Spybot TeaTimer or Spyware Guard. Spyware Guard is perhaps a bit simpler than the one included with Spybot, so I'd go for that if I was you, probably easier.
